Soil Grain Thermometer
For Hot Grain, Hot Beds and Gardens. All grains such as alfalfa, barley, oats, rye, sorghum, soybeans, common wheat and drum wheat should planted at 68 F. Cornat 60 F. Peanuts at 70 F. Sugar cane at 70 F. For soil temperature: Place thermometer at same depth that seed will be planted for 15 minutes. When temperature is taken in the early morning and remains steady for three excessive days, it is time to plant. For grain bins: Screw the thermometer to 3/8″ rod and push into grain to desired depth. Allow 10 to 12 minutes for each reading.
